Use apt-get Install PMS (PS3 Media Server) on Lucid

Install automatic:
wget -q –no-check-certificate https://svn.paissad.net/misc/stuffs/install_pms-linux.sh -O – | bash

Manual installation:
PMS requires the following packages: MEncoder, Mplayer, FFMpeg, and Java
sudo apt-get install mencoder ffmpeg mplayer openjdk-6-jre

PMS recommends the following packages: vlc dcraw tsmuxer
sudo apt-get install vlc dcraw tsmuxer

sudo vim /etc/apt/sources.list
add two lines –
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/paissad/pms-linux/ubuntu lucid hand
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/paissad/pms-linux/ubuntu lucid hand

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install mplayer mencoder ffmpeg openjdk-6-jre vlc dcraw libmediainfo0 libzen0 tsmuxer pms-linux

Start PMS:
sudo /etc/init.d/pms-linux start

Enjoy PMS with your PS3 …

    any chance of updating it? I tried the commands on a brand new install of lucid 64 bit and neither of the solutions work.
